Spanish Merino lambskin, originates primarily from Southern Europe, where the animals live freely from birth in the early spring until they are slaughtered in the autumn. The hide is a by-product, as the animals are kept for their meat and highly sought-after soft wool.
Nappalan means that the leather side has had a foil applied to it, which leaves it smooth as it was nappa leather. Nappalan works perfectly for all kinds of reversible clothing, and compared to suede, is slightly water and dirt repellent. If you use nappalan for outerwear, it is a good idea to treat all seams with impregnation spray.
Spanish Merino is known for the skin being very light and soft. The light wool with a firm curl is perfect for dyeing bright, beautiful colors. We are happy to supply special colours, and color in according to a sample or a pantone.
