Tibet/Mongolian lamb does not originate from Tibet, but from the northern provinces of China. The light and long curled wool works ideally for the animals in the hot during the day and cold at night!
The lambs are slaughtered to be eaten, and the skin is a sought-after byproduct. As lambs in general, they live freely and under the sun, where they have adapted to the local fauna, and contribute to landscaping and biodiversity.
The wool of Tibet lamb is known for its length of up to 12 cm, and its soft and light curls, which give an attractive effect - regardless of whether it is used for clothing such as vests, trimmings, and interiors and furnishings.
To ensure a high and uniform quality, the lambskins are sorted and only those with the most beautiful wool are selected. The skins are assembled into plates that each measure 120x60 cm. This is to ensure a uniform result and achieve the highest yield from available materials.
Tibet lambs come from stock in 14 colors.
For upholstering furniture, we recommend only using the colors black and bleached white as well as natural, as they have a sufficiently high light fastness.
